I graduated from SUNY Old Westbury this past May with a BS in Childhood/Special Education and a BA in English.

Experience

I was a writing center tutor for 2 years where I learned many strategies and ways to teach writing. Also during my time at the writing center, I attended two conferences and presented at one of them. I habe also tutored in the subjects of elementary math/writing. I am currently a 1:1 aide to a 10th grade student. My job includes helping him with all subject areas such as algebra, writing, global history and earth science. As well, for 2 summers I tutored college essay writing for the Harlem RBI program.

I am passionate about writing and reading. Aside from the many academic papers, I've written for my middle school, high school and college newspapers. I believe it is a great way to spread ideas, opinions and different views. I also enjoy traveling and hope to travel the world one day. So far I've visited Asia and many countries in Europe. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports mainly basketball, dancing, health, fitness, and running.
